Shopping privacy information
Shopping uses accounts and a shared backend. Account details, household memberships and profiles, shopping lists, inventory, products and event history are processed to provide shared household features. Android also stores account- and household-scoped records and pending changes locally. Camera frames for barcode recognition are processed on the device and are not uploaded, according to the current project documentation. Unlike PingWatch, Shopping is not a local-only utility.
These are development-stage data-handling details, not a final privacy policy for a public service. Public hosting, retention, export and account/household deletion must be completed and reviewed before launch. No public sign-up is offered on this website.
